Mindfulness & Self Care Club
Tweens & Teens
The mindfulness & self care club is based on a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-based, skills-building approach that includes reducing negative thoughts, increasing healthy behaviors, as well as improving communications and problem-solving skills.
When students learn to deal with situations in positive ways, the brain lays down new pathways which helps them to grow new neuronal connections and deal with stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms in healthy ways.
Neurons that fire together, wire together.
By helping students change their thoughts from negative to positive, their feelings and behaviors naturally follow suit. Convincing tweens & teens that they can accomplish whatever it is that is important to them, reinforces what their mind believes they can achieve.
This club is designed to help children face their fears and take control of their emotions.
One of the key foundations of what we do is teaching children how to be happy, peaceful and joyful for no apparent reason in the here and now.
