DESCRIPTION

Mindful Awareness is a widely used stress-reduction technique that works by enabling children to pay closer attention to what is happening within them – thoughts, feelings, emotions; so that they can better understand what is happening to them. In our club we teach children how they can be more compassionate to themselves and others. We combine mindfulness into our lessons to help learners feel happy, calm and peaceful on a daily basis while mastering key social skills according to their individual needs and development.

WHAT WE DO:

  • Develop self-confidence, self-esteem & self-love through meditation

  • Laying down strong foundations of every day happiness by connecting to gratitude

  • Understand the value of a growth mindset and the power of grit and tenacity

  • Learn how to self-regulate & express emotions calmly by mastering the power of the breath + learning a rich emotional language vocabulary

  • Learn how to read facial expressions & social cues via role play and scene setting exposure

  • Learn how to deal with anxiety & dramatic meltdowns by understanding the BIG emotions and where we feel them in our body

  • Process anger and let go of any bottled up emotions by learning key emotional freedom techniques

Because I like to practice what I preach, it is very important for me to take some time off to really emphasize the routines, boundaries and structures with my little ones as this leads to successful parenting.
