Spring holidays are coming up. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend some quality time with your little ones. But it can also be a challenging time for the parents if you are planning to travel and your kids have to spend several hours in a car, plane or train!
To help you get a good start into your vacation here are some tips that might help you.
Make a travel binder for your kids
Kids will typically get frustrated if they are bored. So let’s keep them busy and creative and give them fun things to do. Pack a little travel kit with fun activities so you always have interesting things to do.
Here are some ideas what to pack:
Bring games you can play on the trip. Here are some printouts available for free.
TRAVEL BINGO – GREAT GAME TO PRACTICE YOUR ENGLISH
Instructions:
Let your child draw a card and help them sound out the word on the card in English. The first family member to spot the item on the card on the trip gets to keep the card. The one with the most cards at the end has won the game.
LINES AND DOTS
This game can be played by two or more people.
Instructions:
Take turns drawing horizontal or vertical lines between adjacent dots connecting them together. If you complete a full square, write your initial in the box and take another turn. If your line creates two boxes, then you get to put your initial in both of them. Some strategy will be involved to see if you can create more boxes than your opponent. Continue playing until all the dots on the page are connected. Count how many boxes each player has – the player with the most boxes wins!
